There was only one mention of color blocking in Vogue from August to December 2013! What little examples I found of color blocking were mostly with one color and a neutral. While I was hoping to find more examples of "color on color" color blocking I guess I will have to settle for neutrals because it seems that that is where color blocking is headed in the near future. While I was a little disappointed, it also seems that my initial prediction was correct in thinking that color-color blocking is on its way out....so make room for black, white, and maybe just a pop of color.
The couple ads and examples I found within other unrelated articles are posted below the issues I reviewed. Most color blocking seemed to be unintentional color blocking rather than the one I focused on for this blog (intentional) November had the most color blocking by a landslide compared to months like December that only had one ad total!
